I deconstructed a pile of old blue jeans, and wound up with a pile of pockets, a pile of legs, and a pile of FLIES...this is what happened.

The hand embroidery is fly stitch with space-dyed threads. The house flies are painted with Lumiere paints through a hand-made stencil. The fly flight path is couched yarn. The "pi" symbol is computer machine embroidery with a variegated commercial thread. The steaming pie is Dover clip art. The metal numbers at the top left are the first 16 digits of pi. The name "Fly Pie is spelled out on the bottom fly.
