Redbud trees blooming in the spring are another passion of mine. I harvested redbud branches at two different stages of growth, covered them with fabric and scanned them. They were printed onto canvas, and embellished with commercial and hand-dyed fabric squares. A few pieces also have polymer clay, yarn weaving, or stamped embellishments. The arrangement of the fabric squares was inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and by the squares on my mother's hospital gown!
